Cookie Policy
Version 1.0 · Effective 21 June 2024
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
We use four categories of cookies. Your consent determines which categories are active on your device.
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
Require your consent: No — these are set automatically as they are essential for the platform to function.
These cookies are required for sahayogi.in and Sahayogi products to operate. Without them, you cannot navigate the site, log in to your account, or use core product features. They do not collect information that could be used for marketing.
What they do:
- Maintain your session when you are logged in to a Sahayogi product
- Remember your cookie consent preferences
- Protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) — a security mechanism
- Enable load balancing across servers to ensure platform stability
- Store temporary data needed during your session (for example, multi-step form progress)
These cookies cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
3.2 Functional / Preference Cookies
Require your consent: Yes
These cookies allow the platform to remember choices you make and provide enhanced, more personalised features.
What they do:
- Remember your language and region preferences
- Remember your dashboard layout and display settings in BoSS or Sahayogi AI
- Store your last-used filters and sort preferences within product views
- Remember whether you have dismissed a notice or announcement
- Maintain your sign-in state across sessions (if "Remember me" is selected)
If you do not accept these cookies, some personalisation features will not be available and you may need to re-enter preferences each visit.
3.3 Analytics and Performance Cookies
Require your consent: Yes
These cookies collect information about how visitors use sahayogi.in and Sahayogi products — which pages are visited most, how long users spend on pages, and where errors occur. This information is used in aggregate to improve the platform.
What they do:
- Count page visits and unique visitors
- Track navigation paths through the site (how users move from page to page)
- Record error events and performance issues
- Measure page load times
- Identify which features are used most and least frequently
The data collected by analytics cookies is anonymised or pseudonymised. We do not use analytics cookies to identify you personally.
If you do not accept these cookies, we cannot measure how the platform is used and our ability to improve the user experience is reduced.
3.4 Marketing and Communication Cookies
Require your consent: Yes
These cookies track whether you have interacted with specific content or calls to action on sahayogi.in — for example, whether you have viewed a product page or started a contact form. This helps us understand which content is effective.
What they do not do: We do not use marketing cookies to serve you advertising on other websites. We do not share data from these cookies with advertising networks.
What they do:
- Track which product pages and CTAs are most effective at driving enquiries
- Measure the effectiveness of our email campaigns (open and click data — only if you have consented to marketing emails)
- Remember if you have previously visited from a specific campaign link
If you do not accept these cookies, we cannot measure the effectiveness of our marketing content and will not be able to improve it based on what works for users like you.
5. Third-Party Services That May Set Cookies
In addition to the cookies listed above, the following third-party services integrated with Sahayogi products may set cookies or use similar tracking technologies:
Microsoft (Microsoft 365, Azure) — Used within Sahayogi Cloud. Microsoft may set cookies for authentication and service delivery. Subject to Microsoft’s Privacy and Cookie policies.
Meta (WhatsApp Business API) — Chat with Sahayogi uses Meta’s WhatsApp Business API. Meta may use cookies or tracking technologies associated with the API integration. Subject to Meta’s Privacy Policy.
[Analytics Provider] — Used for website analytics on sahayogi.in. Subject to that provider’s cookie and privacy policy.
[Dev team: List any additional third-party services that set cookies or tracking pixels on sahayogi.in pages.]
Sahayogi does not control how third-party services use cookies. We encourage you to review the cookie policies of third-party services where relevant.
6. Your Cookie Choices and Consent
6.1 Cookie Consent Banner
When you first visit sahayogi.in, you will see a cookie consent banner. This banner allows you to:
- Accept all cookies — including strictly necessary, functional, analytics, and marketing cookies
- Accept necessary only — strictly necessary cookies only; all other categories disabled
- Manage preferences — choose which categories to accept individually
Your consent choice is stored as a cookie (the cookie_consent cookie listed in Section 4) for 12 months. After 12 months, you will be asked for consent again.
6.2 Changing Your Preferences
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of sahayogi.in. This opens the consent management panel where you can adjust which categories are active.
6.3 Browser Controls
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View the cookies stored on your device
- Delete all or specific cookies
- Block all cookies or cookies from specific sites
- Be notified when a cookie is set
How to manage cookies in common browsers:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Note: Disabling all cookies via browser settings will prevent strictly necessary cookies from working and may cause Sahayogi products to malfunction or become inaccessible.
6.4 Opting Out of Analytics
If you have accepted analytics cookies and wish to opt out of Google Analytics specifically, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. If you use a different analytics provider, opt-out options are available through that provider’s website.
8. Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals. Sahayogi currently does not alter its cookie behaviour in response to DNT signals, as there is no universally agreed standard for interpreting them. We rely instead on the explicit consent mechanism described in Section 6.
9. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new products, integrate new third-party services, or change how we use cookies. The updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
For material changes, we will display a new consent banner so you can review and re-confirm your preferences.
